2002 Reunion Headquarters Opens

Yale's hottest reunion headquarters opens in Davenport.  When the lights go down Friday it has everything for a weekend of parties.  It's better than Naples Pizza and the pitchers are free!  Stop by to check-in, say hello, ask questions and let us help solve any problems you may have while here for the weekend.  Campus rooms are available.    Headquarters is open as follows:

Morning Yoga for All Classes

Start your Saturday morning (weather permitting) with some gentle stretching and breathing exercises, and get your body feeling "yoga good" for a busy day of reunion activities! This is a mixed-level class featuring modifications for all levels of ability, so whether you have been practicing for years or have never touched a yoga mat, everyone can have an enjoyable experience in this class. Please wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. No previous yoga experience necessary; children and all ages welcome.

The Class of '02 -- A Call To Action!

We live in extraordinary, challenging, and changing times.  Yale ’02 is making its mark on the world with our classmates – Writers, Policy Makers, Entrepreneurs, Entertainers – at the forefront.  Hear what some of your classmates have been up to over the past 15 years and, in particular, how they are approaching these challenging times and taking action.  Be inspired, be entertained, and share some ’02 pride.  Then spend time re-meeting or meeting for the first time your classmates in our own updated small seminar discussion – or just network over shared interests.

Interact with your classmates as they present several two-minute Rapid Fire Talks/Calls to Action on relevant social, political, or other topics.  This isn’t a 101 lecture hall class, so join in with comments and questions.

Alumni from the Glee Club and Whiffenpoof and Whim ’n Rhythm alumni groups, conducted by Glee Club alumna Stephanie Tubiolo '14. MMus '16, will perform Yale favorites from many generations, concluding with a rousing rendition of “Bright College Years.” (The Glee Club rehearsal for the Celebration will take place at 10:30 am Saturday morning as part of "Morning at Yale." All singers are welcome!)

University Church Worship

Join Yale’s ecumenical Christian community for Sunday worship, which will include prayers for alumni who have died, a sermon by The Reverend Dr. Raquel St. Clair Lettsome '92, and wonderful music and liturgy. Rev. Lettsome is an Itinerant Elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Church.  For 16 years, she served as the first female Executive Minister of the historic 4000 member St. James African Methodist Episcopal Church in Newark, NJ.  She is currently an Associate Minister at Union A.M.E. Church in Warwick, NY.  Her preaching distinctions include the 2011 Distinguished Preachers Series at Riverside Church, NY, the 2011 George A. Crawley Women in Ministry Preacher at the Hampton University Ministers’ Conference, a conference preacher for the 2012 Samuel DeWitt Proctor Conference, and a conference preacher for the 2017 Festival of Homiletics.  Dr. Lettsome holds a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies from Yale University, a Master of Divinity degree from Princeton Theological Seminary, and she is the first African American to earn a Ph.D. in New Testament Studies at Princeton Theological Seminary (2005).  Dr. Lettsome is the wife of the Rev. Lydell C. Lettsome, M.D. and mother of Tiffany Simone and Luke Charles.
